Our Values

We intentionally hold ourselves to a core set of values and expect the
same of the people and partners we work with.

We are centered around and driven by a set of values that permeate the ways we operate as a team, with clients and consultants, and with our partners and collaborators. These values are active and alive, overlapping, and mutually reinforcing of one another.


Respect

First and foremost, we value and lead with respect. We respect different ideas and differences of opinion, and we respect people’s time, needs, and boundaries. We recognize the importance of meeting people where they’re at and focus on an open, solutions-based approach to collaborative problem solving.

Relationships

We value relationships. We build and nurture relationships, both internally and externally in all of our work. This means having a genuine and consistent interest in understanding the needs, interests, and perspectives of our colleagues and a long-term commitment to engaging constructively and productively. We prioritize accountability and trust in our actions, words, and relationships. We also prioritize transparency and act in good faith assuming the best intentions, in the spirit of honesty and flexibility.

Learning

We recognize that we don’t have all the answers, and we value a culture of learning and reflexivity. We demonstrate a willingness to be open, to be vulnerable, to be empathetic, to be humble, to accept discomfort as a means to improvement, to have difficult conversations, to suspend judgment, to be wrong, and to change. We value critical questioning and curiosity.

Emergence

We work in an emerging discipline, guiding our partners to embrace emergence as a tool in their own work. We, too, are open to course correction and seek to evolve with the world as it evolves. We embody a willingness to grow our understanding, to evolve our values and knowledge, and to change how we operate. We seek to bridge intention and action at all times.

We prioritize openness and idea exchange, and seek to represent the diversity of our interests and ideas in our processes and decision making.
