There’s an interesting contradiction in the space of networks. While there are seemingly more and more consultants and firms offering support to networks, the typical network manager we encounter still doesn’t have access to the support they need.
Why is that?
Every consulting project we’ve ever done has been highly customized because networks are so diverse. Whatever the specific scope, questions, needs, and challenges constantly arise because networks are complex and emergent. And most networks are under-resourced so there’s little to no funding available for professional development and even more rarely for consulting and advisory support.
